Eupora head softball coach Kaley Harris knows her Lady Eagles will
run into some stiff competition when they make their way to Meridian
this weekend for the annual Clarkdale ‘Spring Fling’ fast-pitch
event, but she also hopes her squad will begin to develop as a team.

The Lady Eagles split a pair of games last week, dropping a close one
to Bruce by the score of 10-7, before rolling to an easy win over Weir.

“We hit the ball pretty good (in both games), we just made a few
errors,” Harris said. “We got up early against Weir and was able to
substitute a lot of players.”

Eupora will be playing four games in two days in the ‘Spring Fling’
which will be held at Northeast Park in Meridian. On Friday the Lady
Eagles are set to face West Lauderdale at 12:30 p.m. and Union at
3:30 p.m., while on Saturday EHS will take on Mendenhall at 10:30
a.m. and West Harrison at 1:30 p.m.

“I just we hope we all come together and play as a team,” Harris
said. “We just need to hit the ball and cut down on our errors.”

Eupora is 2-7 headed into this weekend’s event.
